Wells Fargo & Company today introduced text receipts at its more than 12,000 ATMs across the nation.
Wells, which says it is the first bank to offer the service, has made text receipts available to all Wells Fargo Online or Mobile Banking customers who provide their mobile phone number. Wells was the first bank to offer email receipts to its customers at its ATMs, a service introduced in June 2010.
Here’s what Wells’s text receipts look like:

Has the discussion about mobile financial services actually devolved into touting the difference between e-mail receipts or text message receipts?? Good grief.
