Banks, like every industry, will be shrinking. Banks will return to the traditional model of banking versus being a bank that sells insurance or stocks. Banks that will focus on banking will be the ones who survive this economic downturn. My theory…

I can sum it up in one word...Challenging.
How's it going for you?

Hi David,
Sorry to hear that! Thankfully, I was in the Carribbean during this last cold spell. I don't do COLD, if I can help it. Timing is everything when it comes to the weather here in FL. So far this week the weather has been in the upper 70s. In fact, the weather today is going to be 78 degrees!
I guess I'm not doing a very good job of making you feel better huh?
By the way, what brought you to FL last week? Business, or VAC?

So things looking tighter in Ohio and good to hear FLA moved from Leans Obam to Toss Up. Could there be a Hail Mary tomorrow? I was resigning myself earlier but am finding a glimmer of hope. What say you?

I am hopin so too. I think McCain needs a lot of work to bring him more into line with conservative thoughts, but he is much better than Obama.

We shall see.

Hi David,

Orlando is great! How are things in NY? How' are things in NY?
Are the upcoming holidays starting to influence more activity in consumer lending?

Ohio is still within the margin of error, but the edge right now is to Obama. I am hopeful that the hunters/gunowners, small business people, and religious conservatives swing the day. We do also have a pretty large population of voting eligible ex convicts, decaying inner cities and the requisite life long underachievers, and illegal aliens which might swing things the other way. And the latter is getting some help from a Democratic State's Attorney who is refusing to make people prove who they are to vote, even though there is ramapnt evidence that people are being encouraged by liberal "get out the vote" to register at multiple adresses and vote in multiple polling places.

Luckily Ike only gave the Dallas/Ft. Worth area some rain.
How is everyone in NY dealing with the financial mess that's going on right now?
In Texas everyone is trying to revise their business model to get through the crisis. Unfortunately even with the cut backs we are still seeing good finance companies going under.

Hi David,
Texas is feeling the same turmoil as the rest of the country. Banks and Finance companies are tightening up in every aspect of the business. I think we are all waiting to see what happens.
