- Why not just reinstall parameters for M&A that simply prohibit deals that concentrate risk? We used to have such rules in the form of deposit concentration, if you recall. There are countless ways to frame bank M&A, so that it doesn't lead to megabanks -- even with the Fed doing the M&A evaluations. The idea of the House and Senate holding fort over pending M&A deals sounds like a recipe for, well, who knows what kind of monkey business, Andrea.
