The Asian Payment Card Forum is a regional forum for market participants to discuss current and future issues for payment cards in Asia. In 2010, the forum was hosted by the Association of Banks in Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur and attracted over 120 bankers from 10 Asian countries representing payment card departments from 41 banks and 9 domestic and international payment networks, and focused on the future of payment cards 2010-2015.
This year, under the theme “Managing the Converging Payments Business”, the forum will key in on issues arising from the increasing proliferation of chip-based technologies and channels for payment card business in Asia, and will enable banks from across the region to share implementation and operational experiences and discuss the technical roadmap.
In addition to the plenary sessions, a Technology Exposition of latest technologies and solutions for payment card business will be held concurrently with the Forum and will enable senior decision makers, banks and providers of various payment card systems to learn of the latest solutions for chip-based payment technology.
