JPMorgan Chase reported a 36% jump in active mobile users from 7.2 million in Q3 2011 to 9.8 million in Q3 2012 in its third-quarter earnings presentation on October 12. Chase reported a net income in consumer and business banking of $785 million on revenues of $4.3 billion, down 23% year over year.

Chase’s consumer banking app is among the most popular and feature-rich of all bank apps, and is available for iOS, Android, Blackberry, and, since October 1st, Windows phones. It currently ranks third in downloads among financial apps for both the iPhone and Android markets. The app enjoys strongly positive reviews on Google Play, but gets mixed reviews at best from iPhone customers in Apple’s App Store.
