Ed Terpening leaves Wells Fargo for Altimeter Group

October 18, 2012

Ed Terpening, responsible for pioneering many social media innovations at Wells Fargo, has left the San Francisco-based bank for the role of Senior Consultant at the Altimeter Group. Terpening led Wells Fargo’s social media effort for seven years and began what may have been the first bank blog in 2006.

He will take the helm of client engagement at Altimeter and develop the company’s new training offerings, Altimeter Academy, according to a statement from Altimeter.

Social media strategy isn’t all Terpening has to offer. Do a web search for his name, and you’ll see his award-winning artwork. Best of luck to him in his new role.
